why we celebrate teachers day?

All across the world, teachers day celebrations are undertaken to commemorate the teachers  for their efforts. By having celebrations on teachers day we convey the message that we care for our teachers. Celebrating teachers day is recognition of the devotion with which teachers undertake the responsbility of educating a child.
September 5 is teachers day in INDIA. It is the birthday of second president of India an teacher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. When Dr. Radhakrishnan became the president of India in 1962, some of his students and friends approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate 5th September, his birthday. In reply Dr. Radhakrishnan said, "Instead of celebrating my birthday separately, it would be my proud priviledge if September 5 is observed as" teachers day.
                Teachers mold the lives
                Teachers breakdown barriers.
                Teachers guide the path
                Teachers make the lession.
                Teachers light the lights.
                Teachers resque hurting.
                Teachers save us.
Whenever we need them they are always their.
